Help Preserve Women's Access to Abortion

September 10, 2008
The Department of Health and Human Services is officially proposing regulations that support physicians who withhold vital medical treatment and information from women. The new regulations would shield those who not only refuse to perform abortions and sterilizations but also refuse to mention these procedures to patients or make referrals to other doctors. In addition, the regulations would open the door to refusals based on an objection to contraception. With the government's approval, many patients would be left without the information they need and with nowhere to turn.

Take action: Tell HHS that patients need to know all of their reproductive healthcare options to stay safe.
