Urge HHS to Return Bush's Parting Gift

The Bush administration's conscientious refusal rule limits women's access to abortion, contraception, and sterilization by shielding healthcare workers who refuse to give patients the information and treatment they need. Now President Obama has taken the first step to rescind this rule by starting a 30-day period for public comment. Tell the Department of Health and Human Services to drop the conscientious refusal rule and protect women's health.
Congress Acts to Restore Affordable Birth Control

PRCH board chair Suzanne T. Poppema, MD, praised Congress for restoring affordable birth control prices to millions of college students and low-income women by including the birth control pricing fix in the 2009 Omnibus Appropriations bill, which President Obama signed today. PRCH supporters worked on this issue for two years, sending over 1,500 emails to Congress, calling targeted congressional offices, and travelling to Capitol Hill to lobby Congress.
