PRCH board chair Suzanne T. Poppema, MD, issued a statement that was quoted by CNN applauding President Obama's decision to protect patients' health by revoking the Bush administration's conscientious refusal regulation. PRCH led a coalition of medical organizations who protested the proposed rule, and hundreds of PRCH physician members voiced their opposition during the public comment period in September 2008.
