PRCH Calls for Rescinding Conscientious Refusal Rule
April 8, 2009
PRCH submitted a joint comment as part of the HHS public comment period on rescinding the conscientious refusal rule. And CNN quotes PRCH board chair Suzanne T. Poppema, MD, discussing physician support for rescinding the conscientious refusal rule. The Bush administration's conscientious refusal rule limits women's access to abortion, contraception, and sterilization by shielding healthcare workers who refuse to give patients the information and treatment they need. Have you commented yet? Tell the Department of Health and Human Services to drop the conscientious refusal rule and protect women's health.
