Dr. Ecker is a high-risk obstetrician at Massachusetts General Hospital and an associate professor at Harvard Medical School. A graduate of Princeton and Harvard Medical School, he completed his ob/gyn residency at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital and fellowships in maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrical ultrasound at the University of California in San Francisco.
Dr. Ecker currently serves as the director of obstetrical clinical research at Massachusetts General Hospital where he is also director of quality assurance for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship.
He is a past chair of the ACOG Ethics Committee and is currently vice-chair of the ACOG Obstetric Practice Bulletins Committee.
The two other panelists for the May 17 event were Philip Darney, MD, MSc, and Beth Parker, JD. Daniel R. Mishell, Jr., MD, received the 2010 Kenneth J. Ryan Physician Leadership Award.
