Programs: Residency Education Initiative
The goal of PRCH’s Residency Education Initiative is to integrate evidence-based sexual and reproductive health education into residency education in adolescent medicine, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and psychiatry. The initiative seeks to ensure that residents receive education in sexual and reproductive health issues that reflect the unique scope of practice, educational models, and clinical responsibilities of each specialty.
The initiative is designed to be collaborative and helpful for Residency Review Committees (RRCs), the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), residency programs, faculty, residents, medical specialty boards, and the community-at-large. The initiative is supported by the Ford Foundation.
