Reproductive Health Care Moves Forward in the Senate

July 16, 2009
The Senate HELP Committee passed its health care reform bill with Senator Mikulski’s “Women’s Health Amendment” intact, a key step toward coverage of contraception, gynecological exams, and other preventive services. The committee rejected several anti-choice amendments proposed by Senators Coburn, Enzi, and Hatch. Thank you to the PRCH members who called their senators on the committee to oppose those amendments—you helped protect reproductive health!
