Tell Congress: Support Servicewomen's Health

November 14, 2012Board chair Douglas Laube, MD, MEd

Women in the military don’t have insurance coverage for abortion in cases of rape or incest. Our board chair Douglas Laube, MD, MEd, said: "As a veteran and a physician, I am appalled by the military’s refusal to provide comprehensive care for soldiers who have been raped.... The military prides itself on top-of-the-line care for the wounded. It’s time for rape survivors to get the same treatment." Congress will soon finalize the National Defense Authorization Act—please take action today and urge your members of Congress to lift the military’s ban on coverage for abortion in cases of rape and incest.

Our women in uniform dedicate their lives to protecting our country—it's time for the law to protect them. Add your voice. Email your elected officials and tell them to support servicewomen’s health!
