Support Crisis Pregnancy Center Ordinance in San Francisco
If you live in San Francisco, please call your city supervisor today in favor of the Pregnancy Information Disclosure and Protection Ordinance. (Phone instructions below.)
On Tuesday, October 18, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors will vote on this ordinance to prevent false advertising by crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs). The measure would prohibit limited-service pregnancy centers from implying through advertising that they offer counseling or referrals for abortion when, in fact, they do not.
Pregnant women seeking abortions should not be delayed by fake promises and erroneous ads. This ordinance would require limited-service pregnancy centers to be clear about what they provide.
The Board of Supervisors needs to hear that we won’t tolerate the CPCs’ deceptive advertising. Call your city supervisor right now and say yes to the Pregnancy Information Disclosure and Protection Ordinance!
Sample phone message: “I live in your district, and I urge you to vote yes on the Pregnancy Information Disclosure and Protection Ordinance. The pregnant women of San Francisco shouldn’t be misled as they seek medical care. Thank you for supporting this important ordinance.”
